About me

"C.M. Mitchell is a full time writer and part time small farmer. She was born in Ontario, Canada; lived in the UK for fifteen years before moving back home where she resides on a small farm in Quebec.
She has worked a range of jobs, but has always concentrated on writing and learning about genealogy, history, literature and most anything she can learn about living a self sufficient life" - standard bio

Currently, I am submitting a proposal to Sassy Books, a division of John Hunt publishing. You can read more about them with the link here:
John Hunt Publishing: (To find Sassy Books, click on 'Our Imprints' and scroll down until you find it)

The farm is in the beginning stages, but we hope to be able to grow it to a degree where we live a mostly self sufficient life by growing the vast majority of our own food and making as much of the rest of the consumer items as we can. Currently, we keep goats, Katahdin sheep, chickens, a few turkey's, a couple of Muscovy ducks, a red Holstein calf, rabbits and three Vietnamese pigs.

I have traced my family history back to 1749 & take every chance I get to research further. As far as I can tell at this time, I am at least the seventh generation Canadian Mitchell and I a the last remaining Mitchell of my line.

What else?

A couple of friends have this on their site and since I thought it was such a good idea, I thought I'd steal it, make it my own and feature it on here. Monthly, I will feature an author so that they may promote their work and I/we can learn about them.
And since this post is all about me, I thought I should be the first one to fill it out.

[skip the intro part, since it's me]
